My Story
and background
Of Rarotongan and German descent, I was born in Australia and raised in New Zealand. My parents always encouraged me to travel the world and learn about people. I am proud of my blended ethnicity which has enabled me to communicate with people from all cultures, which is vital with todays changing population.
I also spend 2 days a week working in the Medical Clinic at K'aute Pasifika in Hamilton. This enables me to keep up my clinical skills in primary care, as well as being able to re-connect and give back to my Pasifika community.
Different ethnicities have specific skin types and different features which require a multi faceted approach to treatments. I always strive to keep up to date with the latest trends and products in appearance medicine, both in New Zealand and all over the world.
Away from working I spend as much time as I can with my two children, their partners and their dogs.
I live on lifestyle block in Te Pahu with my dog Mr Knox and our 4 chickens. I am a keen permaculturalist and the property is a constant work in progress as I move toward developing a sustainable, self sufficient system hopefully in time for retirement.
Kia Orana! I'm Jess, registered nurse of 22 years, beautician of 8 years, and mother of 2 children and 2 dogs.
The combination of nursing skills and experience along with my beautician training have paved the way to my cosmetic nursing career for the past 8 years.
Communication, diversity and a passion to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients are the key factors that have driven me.
